far too familiar

I've burnt and cut my hands and fingers enough to start pondering about how amazing our body can easily regenerate new skin cells to go back to its' original state or form. It is just hard to look away from my little injuries and also hard to not notice it slowly healing day by day. Being lazy and clumsy may not be the best combination because I for one, am both. Henceforth, the reason behind the burns I get from my hair curling iron and the oven and the cuts and scratches from knives and other sharp objects.

I don't know, I'm the kind of person that hates looking at wounds and bruises not because it's a repulsive sight but because I would imagine the pain during the exact moment of impact that disorient the skin that way. Though some injuries are quick and sometimes even unnoticeable, there is always that lingering pain a wound gives out when you put too much attention to it. The pain that becomes far too familiar.

Nautical Nonsense

Can I just say I hate the way I form my sentences and put my words together. I think the way I speak is absolutely rubbish, I'm rubbish. I don't like reading what I wrote in the past, I hate my essays, reports and assignments. They're all trash. ugh.

You know what? I wish I could form better proper sentences. Communicate with more sophisticated words properly put together. Speak kinder words. Spread wiser sayings. I guess I want to hear what I want to hear but my brain's range of vocabulary is  just disappointingly limited. I like to think that I am a rather optimistic person but I do get the negativity flu once in a while and two days ago was what happened when I wrote this and left it in the drafts. I still do feel that ugh feeling but not as much anymore. Just thought I'll just put it out there to give me the push I need to read more books and work on my communication skills.

May be a little odd, may be not

This thing has become a yearly occurrence since high school ended for me. May be a little odd, may be not. However, my new year seems to always officially start in the month of February. My January(s), Januaries? My "plural form of the month January" are always so messy, unsatisfying and just unsettling to my mind and body. Should I put it in a way where my January is the trial month for my every new year? Seems legit.

Though I have been really active posting blog posts, behind the laptop screen, I've basically evolved into an ugly, unsocial, unproductive, tetchy little toad for the past month. I've only left the flat a couple of times, yes in all honesty, two. One was to submit an assignment in the business building and the other was to take an exam which I know I could have done better (and it is certainly a pain in the heart knowing that).

Anyways, I did not get any sleep last night. I just dove right into that Youtube wormhole or quicksand and was never found. Well technically, right at the moment when I noticed the windows looking brighter and realised how much time as past. I just got straight up and hit the gym (no, I did not physically or mentally abuse the gym, see what I did there?). I was motivated, I am. Let's see how long this can last. My plan right now is to warm up my body, start moving muscles that I rarely use and begin spinning classes again by February like I did so last year. I tend to push myself harder when exercising with a group (CrossFit, however, is no doubt, definitely not my cup of tea). I'll probably keep my blog up-to-date on my progress just to give me that extra guilt if I don't hit the gym. Don't worry, it's for the better, I hope. Alright, till then, God bless.

dream journal #18

2nd August 2014

I woke up in my dream having to know that I had to catch a flight to Kuala Lumpur that is a connecting flight to Philippines. Just right as I was about to get out from bed to wash up in the bathroom, Tasha gave me a call on my whereabouts and why was I not at the airport. I panicked a little but quickly pulled myself together and started throwing everything I needed into a rucksack. From the itinerary I grabbed on the desk while packing up, I noticed it was a trip to climb a mountain in the Philippines. When I left my room, I noticed Petra and Eeling chilling in a jacuzzi right on the patio. They looked puzzled at why I was rushing and when I told them, they giggled and said our trip was only due next week. I just thought to myself that Tasha must have mistaken the date and she was already at the airport. I grabbed my phone to give her a call but woke up before I had the chance.

Sarah goes to Brussels | Day Three

On our final day, we went all out to try cover the rest of Brussels and tried to check everything off our list. Try the hot chocolate, find the best waffles, try the mussels, try the potato fries, have a french guy say 'Croissant' and 'Baguette'. Checked, checked, checked, checked and checked.

Just a little appreciation paragraph for Nat. I just liked to thank you for coming all the way from Australia earlier than your trip was intended so we could meet and see Brussels together. I had an amazing time and it was just wonderful that we got to meet and spend those few days together catching up whilst discovering a new place. You are one of the kindest person I've ever met, not to mention also one with many talents and I am just so blessed to have met you at a young age. You've taught me to always be kind to people, you've taught me to be nice to everyone, you've taught me not to shy away from letting our quirky monster out, you've taught me confidence, you've taught me to be grateful for what I have, you've taught me so much more and of course, no doubt, I will always keep that in my heart and mind. I pray that God continues blessing you in health, beauty, intelligence, kindness, talent, strength and all the other great things in life. I love you, nat. Talk to you soon and until then, readers, God bless.
