I like my milk and sugar with tea

Finally submitted my final assignment for first year last Friday, what a relief. I had to deal with four assignments, two math tests and one group presentation in a duration of four weeks. Now I'm left with three exam papers before I can be back with my whole family. It has been a rather smooth yet slightly rough first year, not too bad and pretty satisfying. I just can't wait to be back in a much more familiar setting, the place where I grew up.

I love how the grass are greener, flowers are blooming and the Sun shines brightly accompanying the blue sky nowadays. It took Newcastle really long to warm up but it's here so I'm not complaining. It's pretty odd how the Sun only sets after nine, back in my hometown by half past five the Sun is already putting on a beautiful show as it sets. I just needed to write out what I had in my thoughts right now before I go on full drive to studying for my upcoming papers. Have a pleasant week, readers and God bless.

Here's a little review | COOP Chicken House

COOP Chicken House
25 Collingwood Street, Newcastle upon Tyne,
Tyne and Wear, NE 1 1JE

My personal rating: 9/10

Today, I'll be sharing with you a lovely restaurant nearby the Newcastle Central Station. My brother and I visited this restaurant for dinner last night and I really enjoyed it. We had 3/4 of a chicken, skin-on fries, sweet potato fries, chicken caesar salad, sweet chilli sauce and garlic sauce. The chicken was so delicious and juicy, the breast meat as usual can be a little dry but dipped in the sauce, still tasty. The skinny fries stayed crunchy and perfect till the end of the meal plus the prices were reasonable. I was super satisfied with the food, the service and the atmosphere. If you're nearby and share a love for chickens, you should check it out.

*For your information, this is just me giving an opinion and putting it out there. Same goes to most of my blog posts where I voice out my views. Exactly like giving a review in TripAdvisor but longer. Of course, I'm willing to alter any of my views when given a considerable debate. Like I said before, don't take my ratings or reviews too seriously because everybody has different taste and preference. However, if you do take my word to visit the restaurant, I hope you have a pleasant time just like I did.

To the leading lady of my life

Happy mommy's day, I love you everyday.

I miss you so much, so often and more everyday. Not only on this special day you mean the world to me but every day since you brought me into this world. God is so generous for blessing me more everyday for giving me such a beautiful mother to be the leading lady in my life. You have taught me so much in life that I can write a book about it. From staying healthy and being happy to taking care of my skin to putting God and family first and also to be thankful for what I have then, now and the future. I can't wait to see you in less than a month to receive kisses on my forehead and cheeks ever so often. Thank you for all you have done, all you are doing and all you will be doing.

Through phrases of our lives, hard times and the great times, please know that you are never not on my mind and I love you more than you can imagine. Continue sending me voice audios of your singing, the weather of our town and what you are up to because I can never get enough of those. Especially when you call me honey and say I love you. I can go on and on talking about how great of an impact you have made in my life but I'll save the trouble of daddy or lily to translating this into chinese for you to understand better and since I'll be back soon in your arms, I'll be able to show you the love I have for you in person. Once again, I love you and happy mother's day, mommy.

From your little princess and barbie girl,
honey

dream journal #15

2nd May 2015

It was like a movie, I was somewhat playing the role of a ghost stuck in a massive abandoned mansion. I was not the type of ghost that looked like a floating white cloth with two eye holes in it, it was more like I had my body figure just that I was glowing in a light blue colour and translucent. All the characters around weren't people I knew personally.

Here's how it goes, it does not start like how my dreams usually start by waking up in a weird location. I just appeared in an old dusty room, all the furnitures were covered with white cloth that had a layer of dust on it. The only light came from the musty dirty long windows which were really dim. I slowly and carefully left the room to the corridor where the floor was wooden with a long patterned carpet all the way to the end. There were painted portraits of people posing really elegantly and mirrors along the sides. Half way through the corridor were stairs, I walked down where there were other ghostly figures roaming around the front door.

The whole calmness takes a turn when aliens exactly like that movie, "Alien vs. Predator", started to invade the house. They were just smashing through windows and spitting acid saliva from their tongues. It burned and melted the ghost figures horrifically. I moved quickly out of the whole scenario when my right shoulder got hit with the acid saliva, it felt like I was severely burnt. I slipped into a vending machine room and saw a woman hiding behind one of the machine. Weirdly, she was my mother in this movie-like dream. I was hungry so I put my hand through the glass of the vending machine, grabbed a candy bar and dropped it to the bottom so I could pick it up from the slot.

The woman that played my mother told me we had to find a way out to escape from all of this. She mentioned that there was only one exit in the whole house for our ghost community but it was hidden. I searched and searched, tried every door and every cupboard. Suddenly, one of the aliens creeped up to me from behind and clawed my right arm. I was then grabbed by the shoulders and pushed through a glass window into another room. I fell backwards pretty hard onto the ground and used both my legs to push the alien away from me. Quickly, I got up and ran into the next room and crawled up a chimney. Mid way up, there was an iron trap door where I managed to get open and slipped my body in.

It led to a brightly lit small squared white room that had a door at the other end. This door was just as white as the walls but with a wooden door knob. As I turned the knob slowly, there was a small click sound. There was an even brighter light as I open the white door but as my eyes adjusted, I saw the wide green field of the outdoors. My dream was fast forwarded to end where I was holding hands with my other family members (not my real-life family) walking to the top of a hill to discover that there was a beautiful scenery of a town. Something else happened at the end before I woke up but I couldn't recall it so I guess it was a happy ending for my dream this time.
